Cambodia is one of the world's poorest countries. Although the country is slowly being built up after many years with war, poverty is still a daily reality for a large part of the population.
"About 90% of people living below the poverty line in Cambodia, live in rural areas where there are very few facilities.
About 33% of people in Cambodia have no access to clean drinking water.
Every year 10,000 children under the age of five die by drinking unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation.
More than 60% of the population suffers from seasonal food shortages.
It is clear that there are still major challenges in Cambodia."
The Dutch organization Apsara Foundation makes a difference!
Through a vast number of projects in Cambodia the foundation is helping families building better lives and ensuring a prosperous future for the Cambodian children.
When the Apsara Foundation recently started up a project producing sustainable fair trade pepper mills, it was a welcomed opportunity for CrushGrind® to support this admirable project.
The beautiful pepper mills are made in a workshop in Cambodia (near Phnom Penh), where disabled people receive a training and are employed.
You can order these beautiful pepper mills with CrushGrind® ceramic mechanism inside at http://www.echtekampotpeper.nl/pepper/#order
All profit of selling the mills goes to charity.
